You'll notice that by selling a single line on the invoice that the system posts that line directly to the general ledger under income. But then invoice software also posts the two different taxes (Canadian demo) to the tax liability accounts and the total amount of the invoice posted to accounts receivable.

The invoice is also costed right away, with the inventory being reduced by the value of the item and cost of sales being increased the same.
